The College of West Anglia is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the Eastern region. We have around 800 staff and over 10,000 students. Across our three campuses in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire and local learning centres, we offer the widest choice of learning opportunities in the region.
We offer a range of management, lecturing and support staff employment opportunities for people who want to join a staff team that is hard working, creative, dynamic and inspiring. Across our 3 campuses we deliver vocational, A level, apprenticeship and higher education courses and all campuses have seen a significant recent investment in accommodation resulting in some state of the art facilities.
At the Cambridge campus in Milton we specialise in the delivery of land-based programmes such as agriculture, equine, animal care and veterinary nursing. The campus also boasts a popular Equine Therapy Centre, livery, horse riding lessons, contemporary dog grooming centre and vet teaching clinic.
Our Sports Campus, based on a collaboration with local business, is located at Active Leisure Lynnsport in King’s Lynn, providing students with access to some of the best facilities in the region both for their learning and for taking part in sport. This includes a modern teaching and learning environment with well-equipped classrooms, sports science lab and student social spaces.
We have been work in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University to offer an increasing range of higher education courses including degrees, foundation degrees and HNDs at all 3 campuses and opened a new dedicated HE building in September 2016. We work with hundreds of employers across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire in supporting their workers through training and apprenticeships.
We are passionate about providing inspiring opportunities to learn. We have been working for some years with partner Colleges in Europe to provide exciting student and staff exchange opportunities. We are proud to be the risual Microsoft Academy for East Anglia. Our staff have successfully supported students at World Skills events and have established a Training Centre through a partnership with Anglian Water at our Wisbech site.
The college is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity to all employees, learners and clients and to safeguarding our learners. Apart from being in an innovative and energetic environment, working for us will provide you with competitive pay, a generous annual leave allowance, fee waivers on some College courses and a contributory pension scheme. We have on-site childcare facilities at Kings Lynn and operate a salary sacrifice voucher scheme through Busy Bees Benefits. Staff have access to our salons for hair and beauty treatments. Refreshments are available on all campuses at competitive prices. We have negotiated preferential staff rates for access to local gyms and many other local companies. We offer all staff the support of access to a free, 24/7 confidential counselling telephone helpline and we have dedicated training days for all staff with allocated study leave for lecturing staff. Staffa also receive the benefit of Perkbox membership enabling them to access hundreds of discounts.
