Haley Minns has established a flourishing career in west Norfolk, enjoying varied experience and opportunities. Following completion of her degree in Social Policy, Haley began working with Freebridge Community Housing, starting with the housing and community provider in 2005.
“I grew up in west Norfolk and absolutely love the area, so when I found a forward-thinking employer like Freebridge based here, I knew I could make the most of my degree whilst remaining close to family and friends,” explained Haley.
Having worked in a number of different roles throughout Freebridge, Haley is now Lettings Manager. She plays a crucial role in supporting the wider team to assess new customers ready for their first Freebridge home, helping to ensure they are ready to move in once their property is complete.
“My role is so varied because of the scope of the organisation. Freebridge is committed to providing a high level of service and care to our customers, so I deliver training across departments to make sure we are all working together, with customers at the heart of what we do.”
With supportive, fun and committed colleagues, Haley is able to make a difference through her work: “Knowing I’m helping new families find a home and settle in this community is really satisfying.
“At Freebridge we provide an essential service to our customers and my employer is extremely supportive, which means a lot.”
Haley believes that one of the best things about west Norfolk is the people. “People tend to be friendly, happy, and considerate which makes for a really happy community, with a welcoming, local feel to it.”
For Haley, west Norfolk is the perfect place to get out and about: “There are so many great things about west Norfolk, and I love getting outdoors with friends and family.
“We love walks on the Sandringham Estate, trips to Hunstanton Beach, and fun days out at Holkham Hall – the list just goes on!
“It is a great place to both work and live and there are some beautiful places and brilliant people here in west Norfolk,” Haley added.
